rishi maharishi   what are these great levels 

 Rishi = rishir darshanaat

= rishi is one who has seen (darshan) the spiritual truth=seer

his seen things, his cognitions from his inside self are darshanas

darshanas are deep laws of nature that govern the universe, the lives in the universe

and these help in living the truths, intelligently, consciously, purposefully, without ambiguity, without illusions , without lost in the mystery of the ways of the almighty

Maharishi = mahaan chaasau rishishcha

= a rishi who has seen the truth more precisely=great seer

at this level his mastery propels him to share his cognitions with outside world, he

starts teaching the science and technology of seeing, or rishiing 

Rajarishi = raajaa chaasau rishishcha

= a king who has seen spiritual truth= king + seer

Devarishi = divi rishih athavaa devashchaasau rishishcha

= a rishi dwelling in the heavenly regions, or, a deva who is also a rishi =god+seer

Brahmarishi = param brahma saakshaatkrtavaan rishih

= a rishi who has seen the supreme Truth brahman=supreme+seer

who gives these nick names?

one's own self 

how is it validated?

by the truths that he cognizes from within finding parallels with other similar seers.

is he not in delusion?

the subtlety of his perception does not delude him

is he not arrogant?

he sticks to truth, does not need others' approval

is this change in nickname necessary?

it is a result of his attainments, like , one gets like doctor, engineer, professor,

pandit. comes unasked, unassumed, the internal university awards this promotion.

like in education, sadhana has stages, the ability to see increases , gradually,

continuously, yet some mile stones are discernible 

one does not become a rishi or brahmarshi overnight, it takes intense inputs of

sadhana, tapasya, and soon one grows stage by stage.

it is too like primary to matriculate, to graduate to pg to doctorate levels 

at one stage the student learns the alphabet, and grows to read primary books,

then to books of higher standard ,

and a stage will come when he teaches,

in school, then in a college, then grows to become a professor in the university.

 in the same way the sadhak learns all in his internal school,

internal university and gains the ability to read inner scriptures

and then grows to become an exponent,

a teacher to enlighten the world towards better life

is he well versed in vedas?

he will not learn by reading or listening the vedas but he is well versed in reading the vedas , vedic truths, vedic richas from his inside 

this is the essential difference between rishi and pandit

does he conform to any standards of living, dress code, food, dwelling, ?

his living , spontaneously will be in accord with laws of nature without he conforming to any impositions from external standards 

world takes him seriously?

he is not serious about the perception of the ignorant persons, 

like a medical doctor is not concerned about an opinion of 8th class student about his having the title as dr 

but those who have sufficient depth of perception do know his worth, value his abilities and thus get benefitted by his teachings 

Well i have answered myself the validity of my title rishi. 

and am in the process of becoming maharishi

though it may take a little more inputs to grow into a full , 

the signals from my inside self indicate

that i did graduate rishi level 

and just making an entrance into maharishi domain , 

at the doorstep, at the threshold, 

yet having a definite peep into the class room,

Just as an engineering student is called engineer soon after joining the engg coll, 

i acquired the title to grow into maharishi ,

it is an ideal, it's an idea, it's a seed, 

but it did sprout ,

soon becomes the plant , 

and in due course it expands, 

flourishes with full of flowers, fruits, leaves 

and plenty cool shade, 

taking in the abundant showers of guru grace

Change is the only constant in the world today. We see and experience it aroundus all the time. It is an all- embracing term and covers various aspects, such as the physical changes occurring around us in our environment; for example, the phenomenon of global warming. Technological advances have led to several changes in our basic lifestyle. The means of communication, transport, and day to day living have all shown a steady upward growth. Even in the work place, the dynamics have changed on account of several factors. Opportunities, career options, social perceptions have all contributed to making the workplace dynamics very different today.

The social fabric of our society is, by a natural consequence, changing, evolving and metamorphosing constantly. This is reflected in our value systems, our priorities, and perceptions of not only ourselves but also of those around us, within a social frame work.

So, how does Music impact, mould, and in some ways direct these changes? To seek the answers to these questions, we would have to look at our Music on different levels, namely the literal and the metaphorical.

A. The literal level- Here we consider the various factors contained in the musical idiom.

1. The poetry or the ‘sahitya’ of our compositions. Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words. The poetry in our music, thus gives a shape to our thoughts. Thoughts are what mould us, our thinking, our actions and responses. When we relate to the beauty of nature, feeling the tranquility of a sunset or experiencing the romance of a moonlit night, it fills the heart with joy and happiness. A happy thought is like a seed that sows positivity for all to reap.

2. The interplay of melody and rhythm is one of the most perfect examples of a harmonious relationship. Each has its own identity, but when they come together, a third unique and exciting dimension comes into play, enriching the components by its mere existence. It is not too difficult to extrapolate this imagery and symbolism into the inter-personal relationships that everyone in society has at various levels in the different spheres of their life.

3. The aesthetics of the Raaga: When different emotional states come together, the aesthetic flavor of the raaga comes through and makes the experience enjoyable. The unfolding of a raaga is like that of a flower blooming-a thing of infinite beauty. The mental state evoked, lingers on long after the music has stopped - leaving the listener in a state of ‘Aanand’ or deep joy.

B. The metaphorical level:

1. Within the society: We see that the ideas conveyed through Music, at the literal level, are embodied in- Beauty in the poetry, Harmony in the interplay of Svara and Laya, and Happiness and Joy in the aesthetics of a Raaga and its expression. These ideas or concepts have a universal appeal and they transcend the limitations of boundaries, borders, religion and race. This promotes and fosters peace, and understanding which can go a long way to strengthen global ties.

2. Within the family: Music, especially our Classical Music tradition, has an intrinsic element of ‘timelessness’. Some changes have happened, for example, the different way concerts are structured today. Many artistes are featured in one evening, thus leading to shorter recitals. However, the core musical content has stayed relatively unchanged. The intrinsic nature of our Music is such that, it rises above Time and Change. It is eternal. The literature of the compositions carry their own cultural ethos. The raagas still adhere to the time theory, evoking a bygone era of natural illumination, reflected as sunlight in the ‘raaga’. When this music is enjoyed by the family as a whole, there is a sense of bonding. Everyone is able to relate to it as, it cuts across the generation gap. Such bonding is undoubtedly a very healthy environment for children to grow and bloom. Communication between different generations becomes easier as the doors of understanding open up.

In conclusion, I would like to say, that, through all the changes happening in and around us, the one reassuring constant is the presence of Music. It cleanses the mind and soul and uplifts the spirits. It is the universal language of Mankind, enabling people to reach out, connect and communicate with each other. This shared happiness has and will continue to guide and steer us towards peace and harmony in the world.

Activity and rest are the two steps of progress
deeper the rest more dynamic will be the activity

human recharge themselves in so many gross and subtle ways
external inputs, sun rays, fresh air, pure food-----gross,
beautiful sights, fragrant smell,-----subtle
noble thoughts, satsang,-----subtler
prayer, pooja, sumiran-----subtlest
dhyan, samadhi-----beyond the subtlest
reaching the very source of energy ,intelligence, bliss ,
ie source ie sath chith ananda

Also adding some random / raw thoughts

sleep, rest, relaxation,
delightful, noncommercial hobbies, divine dance,
divine music listening / singing

learning the skill of doing things without becoming exhausted

acting intelligently without wrong moves, doing the energy conservation,
minimizing wastage of energy in frivolous pursuits,

not to scatter or fritter away attention on unworthy lures
closing the eyes now and then, being in silence for a while,

Recharge happens naturally, we to allow it to happen, also can be accelerated , it is possible for a human being , if known how to do

tree can grow naturally, but if gardener attends it with water , it grows faster
tree takes sun rays, manures, minerals, nutrients , air, but roots need to be watered , if roots grow dry, availability of all other supplements remain unused, and tree remains without much growth

     Reality and illusion 

let there be no confusion 

have to be separate clearly first 

and to be mixed intimately next

it's a culinary art

contents in separate parts

added in right ratio and proportion 

to prepare cookies of taste and nutrition

 Relax, have charminar''    the most popular ad

smoking is injurious to health'' the usual caution

take what you want 

but you cannot escape the results/ consequences of your choice , even with your best attitude of ''detach from results of actions 

and one can learn good lessons and bad lessons

from one's encounters good or bad, most significant to the least and trivial,

and can make the best use of the wisdom gained

and making the encounters as the best opportunities to accomplish a turnaround in life and benefit or

be a deaf dumb   rolling stone gathering no mass ,

finally leading a life of weakness, disease, suffering and early death pitiably
